Version 6.0.3.4 - 4/4/2010
- PDT3100 users who post multiple invoices in a single DSD
transaction can now select the invoice for which they post and print bar
codes using the Save Scan Items/Sort Order feature. (They also have
the option to select All). In the HDP Application, select the DSD
transaction. On the File menu, click Save Scan Items/Sort Order
> select the invoice (or all) you wish to save in sort order for printing
barcodes > Post.
Version 6.0.3.4 - 12/4/2008
- For direct store deliveries (DSDs), a user now can print a set of bar code
labels if the transaction has been marked Save Scan Items/Sort Order in the
HDP application. A set of bar codes so marked will print in the order the items were
scanned. You can only mark one transaction per post.
In the HDP application: Select a DSD, then, on the File menu, highlight
Save Scan Items/Sort Order and post the transaction to CDBWin.
In CDBWin: Select the Use Saved HDP Scan Items/Sort Order check box in
the Barcodes report filter window. On the Reports menu, click Items/Inventory
> Barcodes. Only the last transaction marked in the HDP application as Save Scan
Items Sort Order will print.
Version 6.0.0 - 8/4/2008
Hand-Held Software (HHS) Version 1.2
- Multiple
sites can be fetched and scanned as the user desires, without restrictions,
adding a great degree of flexibility to HHS workflow. In the previous
version the work for a fetched site had to be completed and transferred to
the HDP application before another site’s reference file could be fetched.
- Cost, Margin and List can now be defined for new items on the MC3090’s Inventory screen.
- Scanning/entry of DSDs and Inventories has been streamlined and proceeds more intuitively
with fewer required onscreen actions.
- "Speedy scanning" is now available for DSD and Inventories. Simply scan the item,
enter a quantity, scan an item, enter a quantity, repeat as desired. Tap
Save or Close when finished. Items are saved as soon as the next
item is scanned.
- A Find feature has been added to the
MC3090’s Delivery and Inventory screens. This makes locating previously
scanned items easy for editing deliveries or inventory adjustment
transactions. Scan or enter a bar code/SKU number to display the items to be
edited. On the Delivery screen, tap Find or on the
Inventory screen, tap Find.
- HHS software now can be updated
automatically from the HHS screen. When an update is ready, the device
prompts the user to update. This prompt occurs after an inventory reference
file is fetched or after a group of DSD or Inventory transactions has been
transferred. After clicking OK from this prompt, on the Fetch
menu, click Update. This initiates a series of steps to upgrade the
software.
- A Close button has been added to the Delivery and
Inventory screens. Clicking it saves the record last worked upon.
- When fetching an inventory reference file, a compact event occurs automatically
preventing the database from taking up too much space on the HHT.
- Retained reference files may now be deleted from the HHT to free up storage
space. On the File menu, click Delete Fetched. This has no
detrimental effect on any current work.
- To vastly improve battery life, the Symbol MC3090’s wireless radio feature
is now turned off automatically
upon startup of the HHS program. Customers wishing to set up their own
wireless network have the option to manually turn it back on after the HHS
program has loaded.
- Successful scan events are accompanied by a louder beep than before.
- An improved progress bar provides a more graduated and,
therefore, realistic representation of fetch transfer progress.
Version 6.0.0 - 2/23/2007
- The Symbol MC3090 Hand-Held Terminal (HHT) is now engineered to function
with the HDP system, with the capability to perform Direct Store Deliveries
and Physical Inventory adjustment transactions. Highlights of the new HHT
include:
- Windows CE operating system.
- Windows CE-based utility Remote
Display allows user to view display of HHT on host computer.
- Stylus-based input, although many commands and functions can be
initiated with the keypad built into the HHT.
- Virtual onscreen keyboard for use with stylus.
- Revolving scanning turret with LED charge indicator that reflects
scan status.
- Inventory items can be identified by UPC/PLU or vendor number.
- When no invoice number is entered for a DSD, the invoice number defaults to
mmddyytime.
- Options to change list price for each scanned invoice (DSD): Always, Never or
only when a Cost Change appears.
- Invoices can be edited multiple times before being sent to the HDP application.
- Multiple Inventory sessions can be sent, in addition to multiple DSDs.
- In the case of Physical Inventory sessions, the user has
an option to give each session a plain text name for easy subsequent reference.
- The documentation, including online help, has been updated accordingly.
Version 6.0.0 - 9/1/2006
Note: The following points describe HDP 6.0.0
enhancements in comparison to HDP 5.25. They pertain to the HDP application,
not the HDP system.
- Unified, easy-to-navigate interface for viewing Direct Store Delivery
and Physical Inventory sessions to be posted to CDB is featured. Switching between Direct Store Delivery and Physical Inventory
transaction views may be accomplished with the click of a button.
- Session records now have columns for
display of Collected By and Posted By information. The First Invoice and Last
Invoice columns in HDP 5.25 have been changed to read Begin and End in HDP 6.
- The HDP window refresh rate is user-defined;
the default is 10 seconds. On the View menu, click Settings.
- The User Name logged into the HDP application
is visible at all times from the main window.
- Purging of posted and non-posted files
is accomplished using a cutoff date
instead of a "hard" day count.
- CDB Departments, CDB Inventory and
CDB
Redemptions can be displayed from the View menu.
- In the Physical Inventory
viewer, manager level users (or higher level users) can use the Select CDB criteria
group box to filter (based on the information currently in CDB) reports and
transactions as desired. Criteria include:
- Dept. Range
- Vendor
- Bar Code
- Inventory ID
- Item Description
- Unit List
- Redemption value of an item
- Margin
-
Reports are now HTML-based
and feature an enhanced Print Toolbar.
- Expanded report
functionality includes:
- Exclusions report that lists Physical Inventory data that
will not be posted with the rest of the session (that is, data excluded
through the Select CDB criteria feature)
.
- New Items only report that can be printed independently of any other report selection.
- Criteria, if selected in the Physical Inventory viewer, display in the upper left-hand corner of
reports.
- Expanded, fully illustrated, on-line help is integrated into the
application. On the Help menu, click Contents.
Version 5.25.1 for the Symbol PDT 3100
- The Apply List Price from Invoice to CDB setting is now saved when
the user exits the application. In other words, if this checkbox is selected
when the user exits the application, it remains selected when the software is
re-opened. If the checkbox is cleared, when the user re-opens the software it
remains cleared. Previously, the checkbox would always reset to clear.
Version 5.25 for the Symbol PDT 3100
- Vendor item numbers are now included in posted Direct Store Delivery line items as they
appear on the invoice.
- The invoice due date based on the terms resident in the CDB vendor record now displays on
the invoice.
- Verify Code has replaced Test Scanner on the HHT main menu,
reflecting an enhanced functionality. Test Scanner was used to expand short
U.P.C.-E codes to their U.P.C.-A equivalents on the HHT. Verify Code performs
this function and it can retrieve entered items from the store’s reference
file, delivering the UPC code, description and unit list of the item to the HHT display.
If an item is not found in the reference file, the HHT displays the UPC code with the note,
"Item Not Found."
PPT 3100 version 5.25
- Verify Code has replaced Test Scanner on the HHT main menu, reflecting an enhanced
functionality. Test Scanner was used to expand short U.P.C.-E codes to their U.P.C.-A equivalents on the
HHT. Verify Code performs this function and it can retrieve entered items from the store’s reference
file, delivering the UPC code, description and unit list of the item to the HHT display. If an item is not
found in the reference file, the HHT displays the UPC code with the note, "Item Not Found."
(Sunray users already have this upgrade).
HHT-Server Version 5.24
- Fetching Xref file process now verifies size of file.
Version 5.23
- Processing of items "re-added" when what were existing items are missing from CDB through
the DSD and INV transactions. Non stock line items will appear for container multipacks that
are entered that have no single scan link information available.
- HDP window defaults to first valid site for HDP.
- Added Dept. Only option to printing the Exception report and added total fields for the quantities.
- Department and Description information from the CDBWin will be used in line items on paidouts.
- Items considered new by the HHT will NOT update items in CDBWin if it already exists.
HHT-Server Version 5.23
- Enhanced communication by extending timeouts because of user network problems.
- Enhanced communication by adding delay after command is sent to account for slow network response.
Version 5.22
- Accomidates new and existing multipacks in Merging feature.
- Implemented HTML content for Help. F1 at Main Menu.
- INV Report processing time cut by approximately 67%.
- INV report fields were widened to account for printing differences when the cost has
4 digits beyond the decimal.
- User can now view and print "merged" inventories.
- Added User Name, Password login. Site lists will be limited to the sites that the user
has access to in the CDBWin. NOTE: if the user is not prompted for user name password, then
the shortcut has to be updated to include "/wrkgrp ..\cdbwin\data\sscs.mdw" prior to the
application name.
- Added Merging for Physical Inventories. Highlight the inventories you want to merge from
the list and press F9.
HHT-Server Version 5.22
- Updating the shortcut creates an icon in the SSCS folder to repair HHT. Added Communication
tab to Setup window.
- Created Setup window to set up both local and Sunray (VBOS) customers. Sunray (VBOS) customer
setup requires the password in order to edit the information.
- DSD transfers that are automatically posted have the same collection and post date and time.
Check boxes were added to the Setup window so the Automatically Post DSD Transactions check box
and Apply List Price from DSD Transactions check box can be set per site.
- Added Automatic DSD posting. Flags for auto posting and applying list price from the DSD can
be changed by going into user Setup from the Communicate with HHT window's Setup button. After
successfully backing up the HHT files, the HHT-Server will automatically post the DSD transactions
that were transfered. This will only happen if the AutoPostDSD flag is selected.
- HHT-Server will treat invalid commands as blanks and return to scanning the COM port. The same
will happen if the user tries to fetch a file that is not there. If sending non transaction files
from the HHT, the user must have logged in already for paths to be correct for retrieving file
from the HHT.
- If COM port specifed as 0, user will be prompted for port.
- Added TCP/Com file as the eigth command-line parameter. If the file is passed and exists, the
HHT-Server will open the TCP/Com connection saved as that name prior to opening host mode.
- Last Caller statement in Host Mode Message box now shows date and time. This is mostly for
Sunray (VBOS).
