Fuel Manager Reports

Tip

Using Fuel Manager reports to help make pricing decisions.

The CDB records daily fuel sales data and makes the information available through a series of reports that assist you in making decisions about your fuel business. These reports are available on the Reports menu by clicking Fuel Manager.

The Fuel Comparisons report (on the Reports menu, click Fuel Manager > Comparisons) allows you to look at your fuel sales history over different periods of time to help you establish how your fuel business is progressing.  Seasonal increases and decreases in sales may be part of your business cycle and you can use this report to compare the current month to the previous month or the same month last year or any user-definable period you select.

The Competitive Fuel Pricing report (on the Reports menu, click Fuel Manager > Competitive Fuel Pricing) allows you to log your prices and competitors' prices so you can track how competitive your pricing is in your market.

After you review your Fuel Manager reports, you may want to use the Fuel Projections report (on the Reports menu, click Fuel Manager > Projections) to access projections that help answer "What would happen if I changed my cost, volume, and/or retail price?"  Before the report displays you will be prompted to enter a date range for number of CDB days processed. Using this date range, the CDB displays the current fuel volume, price and cost for each fuel grade on the Proposed window. At this time you can enter proposed volumes, prices and costs, press f3,and compare the results to what displays in the Current window, which will not have changed. You can then toggle back and forth using f3 to try out other "What if" scenarios.
